Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to information about you when you visit Hoya Handbook ("we", "the site"). The site is published by Hoya Handbook, United States. Contact:contact@hoyahandbook.world.

Summary

  • No accounts, no comment system, no contact forms and no newsletter.
  • Advertising is provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and, where you allow it, to personalise them.
  • We do not run our own analytics.
  • The Hoya Identifier and Bloom Troubleshooter run in your browser, and the site does not collect or store your answers. The identifier adds the traits you select to the page address so a search can be shared; like any web address, it is sent to the hosting provider when the page is opened and may appear in its request logs.
  • Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising inGoogle's My Ad Center, and you can learn about opting out of other vendors' cookies at aboutads.info (US) oryouronlinechoices.eu (EU/UK).

How Google uses information from sites that show its ads is described inHow Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Information Google collects is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised ads are used. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy settings link shown by that message. If you decline, Google may still show non-personalised or limited ads, which use cookies for purposes such as frequency capping and fraud prevention.

US state privacy rights

Depending on where you live in the United States, you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Where required, Google's consent tools show a message for this choice. You can also use the opt-out options above.

Hosting and server logs

The site is a set of static files served by a content delivery network. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and to protect against abuse. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.

Email

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to act on your message (for example, a correction). We do not add you to any list.

Children

The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you and to object to certain processing. Because we hold almost no personal data ourselves, most requests about advertising data are best made to Google through the links above. For anything we hold, such as an email you sent, contact us at the address above.

Changes

If we add a service that processes personal data, we will update this page before it goes live.
